Imphal, January 08: Unidentified gunmen shot a non-Manipuri at Kongba Bazar under Irilbung Police Station at around 6.40 pm today.

The victim identified as Mukesh Thakur (40) s/o Munshi Thakur of Bihar, but presently residing in a rented room at Kongba Kshetri leikai has been admitted to JN Hospital, Porompat.

Mukesh is said to a barber who operates a hair cutting saloon at Kongba Bazar.

The unidentified gunmen who came on a motor shot him while be was coming out to buy some vegetables from the market and sped from the scene immediately.
