Imphal, January 23: Founder chairman of the Zeliangrong Revolutionary National Front (ZRNF), Guangsinlung alias Namgao Kamei was killed this morning in Sardar Hills area by the NSCN-K of the Zeliangrong Region.

Informing this news to NNN today, NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region spokesman Felix said that his cadres had conducted operation last night at the area between Newlong/Lanka village and Ariang village under Sardar Hills district and arrested him at around 11 pm.

The spokesman said that the operation was carried out based on specific information gathered from some quarters.

According to the spokesman of the NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region, ZRNF chairman Guangsinlung alias Namgao Kamei s/o Jachai Kamei of Touripung located in the Khoupum area of Tamenglong district was killed this morning at 9 after interrogation.

The spokesman said that his outfit had no intention to kill him obliging the Zeliangrong Union's call for peace in the Zeliangrong region but since the outcome of the interrogation was such that Guangsinlung had to be eliminated or else more problems would be created by him if he �exists�.

The spokesman appealed to the Zeliangrong people not to misunderstand the outfit on today's killing.

The spokesman stated that any element who acts against the interest of the Zeliangrong community would not be spared by the outfit.

Felix said that ZRNF's main agenda is to bring dis-unity among the Zeliangrong community.

He stated that last year the outfit had arrested one Namchalung Gangmei of the ZRNF but owing to the pressure from the Zeliangrong Union and other Zeliangrong organisations, his outfit did not eliminate the captured ZRNF cadre but safely handed over to the Zeliangrong Union leaders after a pledge was made that the cadre should not rejoin the ZRNF but Namchalung Gangmei rejoined the ZRNF.

The spokesman also said that there are still two/three cadres of ZRNF.

He said that these cadres should be eliminated anytime and the hunt is on to captured them.

After interrogating Guangsinlung, it was learnt the names of the sympathisers and sponsors of the ZRNF, stated the spokesman.

He said that those ZRNF sponsors and sympathisers should surrender before their names are announced by the outfit.

�Things may not be pleasant if we act on those sympathisers/sponsors so they should surrender before us immediately�, warned the spokesman.
