A definite decision on the controversial Manipur-Goa quarter final match in the recently concluded Santosh Trophy is likely to be adopted tomorrow as the issue figured prominently at the start of the two day general body meeting of All India Football Federation at Delhi today.
According to sources, the issue was raised before the AIFF's executive council by State representative in the Federation's Women Committee S Kumari Devi.
Subsequently the executive council included the matter as an agenda of the general body meeting, maintained the source while informing that the congregation presided by Union Minister and AIFF president PR Das Munshi took up the agenda on the onset of the deliberation.
The same issue was put forth by AMFA secretary L Ranjit Roy in the general body session, it said adding that the secretary also briefed the gathering on various incidents in the State in the aftermath of the match referee's controversial decision which led to early exit of Manipur from the competition.
Moreover, in addition to comments from match commissioner of the tournament, representatives of referee board and disciplinary committee also presented their side of the story before the general body audience.
Even though video clipping of the particular match was screened at the meeting the video recording could show how the match re-started after Manipur had taken the lead which also irked representatives of several State football bodies on lack of professionalism by the telecast firm, conveyed the source.
