All Manipur Adhoc Employees' Association today held a meeting held at the Babupara office of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO and thoroughly discussed the modalities to be adopted for the success of its fast unto death agitation scheduled to be launched from July 6 next.
Informing this in a statement, publicity secretary of the Association Kh Suresh Singh said that the proposed agitation does not intend to cause unrest and pull down the present SPF Government, but had been decided to go ahead with it to fight for the rights of the adhoc employees working in various Government Departments.
In view of the lean financial phase that the State is passing through, the adhoc employees and their family members have tolerated the indifferent attitude of the Governrrsent for long did not raised their voice even if the employees have been denied salaries for the last three years.
But the Government seems to have taken the adhoc employees for granted, the statement said..
In today's meeting, the statement informed, all the 255 adhoc employees working in various Government resolutely decided not to remain passive any more and resort to vigorous means to get their due rights.
