Imphal, July 10 2014: A delegation of Manipur State BJP led by its president Th.Chaoba Singh called on Amit Shah, the newly nominated national president of the party at his office Chamber at 11 Ashoka Road New Delhi today afternoon, according to a press release by L.Bashanta Sharma, General Secretary (Media Affairs), BJP, Manipur Pradesh.

With State President offering a Manipuri Traditional Turban ( Ningkham Shamji) to the new president as a mark of honour and giving him blessings for an eventful tenure, the delegation held meeting with the national president for about 10 minutes.

Highlighting some of the important and critical issues of Manipur, Th.Chaoba invited the national president to make a visit to Imphal and the latter accepted the invitation, according to the release.

BJP National President also assured the delegation to provide all possible assistances from his side for welfare of the State as well as for strengthening the party organisation in Manipur.

The State Delegation comprising among others the state general secretaries Asnikumar Singh and L Bashanta Sharma and National Councillor Yanglet Haokip will continue to stay at the National capital for meeting some of the key Union Ministers to highlight important issues of the State, the release added.
