Senapati DC for ensuring free and fair re-poll

With at least 29 polling stations, out of the 67 polling stations where re-poll has been ordered on March 4, falling under the jurisdiction of Senapati District including Karong, Tadubi, and Mao ACs, Deputy Commissioner of the District Pradeep Kumar Jha affirmed that every individual coming to cast votes during the re-poll would be frisked by security personnel and the polling officials have been assigned duties in order to ensure free and fair election equitably without proxy votes and malpractices unlike the last round of polling.
19 para-military companies of BSF, SSB, CRPF, from the Battalion of 8,6,4 and 7th IRB,MP,VDF and 120 women police personnel have marshaled for deployment for the re-poll as well as for countering anti-social activities during the electioneering process.
Some companies of military forces left Senapati today at around 4:30 PM heading for seven far flung villages which are located more than 70 kilometers away from the district head quarters.
