Imphal, November 10 2008: THE DHRUBATARA Youth Club (DYC), Heirok Part II said that the community health centre (CHC) of Heirok had been shut down by public since November 7 last as there is no doctor in the health centre for long time and the public has also decided to convert it into a private hospital if the government does not send a doctor within five days.

Noting the current worn down situation of Heirok, the press release said that public strongly condemned the failure of government offices at Heirok.

The veterinary hospital of Heirok Part II is without veterinary officer, due to non-shifting of SDC office, the new built SDC building is getting old and transportation had also been obstructed since the suspension bridge of Heirok Part I was broken.

In addition to the misery, there is not a single bridge left in Heirok as MLAs and ministers dismantled remaining bridges in the area in the name of new bridge construction which left the public to wait.
