Honoring the skies: AR engages youth on Indian Air Force Day

The campus of Eklavya Model Residential School in Moreh came alive with enthusiasm and curiosity as students gathered to commemorate the 93rd Indian Air Force Day through an engaging interaction facilitated by the Assam Rifles.
As per a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), the initiative aimed to spark interest among young minds and offer a deeper understanding of the Indian Air Force's journey, achievements and its pivotal role in safeguarding the nation.
The session unfolded with a compelling narrative that traced the evolution of the Indian Air Force from its modest beginnings to its transformation into a cutting-edge and strategically vital wing of the Armed Forces.
Students were introduced to landmark moments in the Air Force's history, its modem aerial capabilities and the unwavering courage of its personnel.
The discussion also opened windows into career opportunities within the defence services, encouraging students to consider a future of service and leadership.
Around 90 students participated in the programme, joined by a contingent of 25 personnel from Assam Rifles.
The atmosphere was charged with pride and curiosity, as students absorbed stories of valour and technological advancement and reflected on the values of' discipline, patriotism and national service.
By bringing Indian Air Force Day into an educational setting, Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing awareness and national pride among youth in border areas.
The initiative not only honoured the dedication and professionalism of India's air warriors but also strengthened the bond between the Armed Forces and the local community fostering trust, understanding and shared aspirations.
