Social worker distributed Christmas gifts to hill villages

Imphal, December 26 2009: A social worker today distributed sports items like volleyballs and footballs as Christmas gift to the villagers of 13 hill villages located under Keiroa Assembly constituency.

Social worker, N Ibotombi distributed the sports items by visiting personally from village to village today.

He also extended monetary assistances to the villagers for celebrating the Christmas with fanfare.

The villages he covered were Phunal Maring Khunjao, Phunal Maring Khunou, Waithou Chiru, Sambal Tangkhul, Sandang Senba Maring, Yaipharok, Ural Chiru, Karpur Shungbakhul, Ngairanphum village etc.

While distributing the items and extending monetary assistances, Ibotombi said that living in harmony among the brethrens of hills and valley will strengthen the integrity of the state.

He also cautioned from those persons trying to cut the brotherhood by instigating poisons to damage the existing harmony among the people of hills and valley.

He also assured of helping the villagers to mend up shortage in their villages.
