Imphal, April 25 2009: DEPUTY director of the state horticulture and soil conservation department has been kidnapped by suspected militants last night from his own home at Thongju part-II under Singjamei police station, report said today.

A highly reliable report said that deputy director, Huidrom Subash (51) was kidnapped by four miscreants suspected to be underground last night at around 9 pm from his home.

But the report could not immediately confirm which group responsible for the abduction of the deputy director and for what purpose.

Till late tonight no clue could be received regarding his kidnapping.
