Imphal, February 01 2010:
Locals of Naharup Pangong today staged a sit-in protest demanding safe release of one Md Abdul Gani (25) by unknowns yesterday.
Abdul who is working as junior machine man in the local daily Sangai Express was abducted by some unknown persons coming on a Maruti Car (blue in colour) yesterday evening at about 4 pm when he was moving on the road with one of his local friends.
Family suspected the unknown persons as security personnel as among them some wear army booths.
The sit-in protest was staged under the aegis of Thangbijrou Muslim Women Welfare Organisation, Thangbijrou Youth Club and Pangong Youth Club.
