Imphal, May 25:
Employees working under the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), thoubal have alleged financial irregularities by the CMO.
Conveying the accusations to mediapersons today, the employees said monthly deduction of Rs 1000 from their salaries have not be included in the salary accounts at nationalised banks as was prescribed by the State Government.
Explaining on the matter, representatives of the CMO, Thoubal employees maintained that as per an order the employees were asked to open salary accounts to draw their monthly entitlements from the banks.
In consonance with the Government stricture, Rs 1000 each were deducted since the July 2005 salary received in August.
However, the deducted amounts were found to be missing in the salary accounts which had eroded any opportunity to procure loan facility from the financial institutes among other benefits, they said and added that such procedural lapses had dampened the spirit of low salaried employees.
Deduction of the specific amount from the salary every month but the same not being entered into the salary account is multiplying problems of the employees in handling domestic matters, they said.
