Imphal, April 22:
Reacting to an article written purportedly by one T Imchen which appeared in Nagaland dailies on April 21 under the caption, 'existing only to oppose NSCN (I-M), FGN has asserted that the article was released in support of IM group only.
"If T Imchen had only gone through the book 'Nagaland and Th Muivah's terrorist activities', then he would have known the truth, and if does not know the truth, then reading the book bears no fruit for him," a statement issued by 2nd Lt Moa Ao of Naga Army, FGN said.
The title of the book was not 'Nagaland and Th Muivah-Khaplang's terrorist activities', but 'Nagaland and Th Muivah's terrorist activities', so there is no room to include the activities of Khaplang group in the said book.
If Imchen feels killings, threatening, intimidation, torture, burning down villages, massacres, money extortion, robbery, looting, kidnapping, bomb blasting in the train station and market places and in buses are not terrorists activities, then he is requested to give the definition of terrorist and anti-social activities, FGN insisted, and cited killing of Ao leaders like K Maynger, Col Supong Nakshi, Capt Imtsu Toshi, Kumzuk, Lt Yanger, etc by Th Muivah in Nov 1979 for refusing to support the formation of NSCN.
Referring to the remarks of Shillong Accord, the statement said if Imchen really knows the existence of the so-called NSCN, then he would know that there was no Shillong Accord in the Indian office.
Otherwise, the Indian leaders would not back Muivah to fight against the NNC and FGN by forming NSCN.
NSCN (I-M) is existing till date only to oppose and fight against the Nagas/NNC, the statement added.
