The first meeting of the Committee of Officers to review the existing pay anomalies which have been already submitted to the Finance Department and recommend appropriate corrections, if any was held on October 13 at the office chamber of the Chief Secretary.
The Committee of Officers was specifically constituted to assess and study adoption of the revised pay scales based on the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary (Higher Education) P Sarat Chandra, Commissioner (Secondary Education) Shambhu Singh, Secretary (Law) A Sukumar, Secretary (DP) S Sunderlal, Principal Secretary (Finance) AN Jha and Chief Secretary Rakesh who is also the Chairman of the Committee of Officers on Pay Revision.
The meeting deliberated on reviewing existing pay scales, allowances and other benefits applicable to the State Govt employees.
Besides reviewing existing pension structure, it also studied resources position of the State.
At the meeting, Pay Implementation Cell (PIC) of Finance Department proposed to place cases of pay anomalies before the Committee within 20 days.
It also proposed to furnish existing pay scales, allowances, benefits as well as resources position of the State within 20 days.
it was decided that FD (PIC) should place a batch of cases of alleged pay anomalies before the Committee in its next meeting to be held on October 20.Another decision was that FD (PIC) should invite representations from all Heads of Departments and employees' bodies within a time frame to redress grievances of each category of employees.
