GOC graces Parents Day meet

Imphal, October 12 2009: The Chil Chil Asian Mission School, Kanglatongbi celebrated Parents' Day today with Major General Shakti Gurung, VSM, General Officer Commanding of 57 Mountain Division as chief guest.

Addressing the children, General Gurung encouraged the school teachers, parents and the children to imbibe values essential towards becoming better people and making a progressive society.

He also assured that the Red Shield Division would continue to work with the people of Manipur towards achieving a better, prosperous and peaceful future.

General Gurung was also accompanied by Brigadier Anil Chauhan, Commander of 59 Mountain Brigade.

The children put up a grand cultural show on the occasion, after which General Gurung interacted with the children and congratulated them for the enthralling display of talent.

The General then handed over books worth fifty thousand Rupees for the school library, apart from gift hampers and incentives to the children.

Established in 1990 and run by Chil Chil Asian Mission Society, the school has been providing quality education to children from primary to intermediate levels.
