The Meetei Leepun will welcome NSCN leader Th Muivah's return to his State and native village, the organisation has said in a statement.
Th Muivah is scheduled to visit his native village - Samodal in Ukhrul on October 22 and stay there till October 28.Thuingaleng Muivah is not only a respected leader of the Naga people but an inspirational and visionary figure admired across communities.
Meitei Leepun welcomes his scheduled visit to his native village and his motherland, Manipur, it said.
Allowing his return after more than 50 years to his ancestral village is a wise and compassionate decision by New Delhi - a moment of deep emotional and historical significance for the people of Manipur.
Meitei Leepun has been pursuing this noble cause through various channels since 2015, it said.
Muivah has long been recognized as a leader who stands firm for the land and its people, guiding generations through the struggles and transitions that shaped "our region" - from the colonial era to the post-independence period.
His life's journey reflects conviction, identity, and the awakening of indigenous consciousness, said the Meitei Leepun.
"Meitei Leepun firmly believes that this visit should serve as an opportunity to strengthen the bond of brotherhood between the Nagas and the Meiteis, to promote mutual understanding, initiate trustful dialogue, and reaffirm our collective commitment to peace, unity, and coexistence in the State.
The beauty of Manipur lies in its diversity - and our shared future depends on preserving that diversity with dignity and respect," the organisation said.
As an indigenous organisation rooted in the belief of oneness of land, people, and heritage - Meitei Leepun extends its goodwill to all communities who uphold the spirit of integrity, harmony, and peaceful coexistence, it said.
"Every son of the soil deserves a heartfelt welcome and gratitude.
Let every community stand together for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Manipur," Meitei Leepun said.
