Pharmacies shut down

Close on the heels of medical representatives in the State working under various pharmaceutical companies packing up their wares as they could not cough up the monetary demand served by an underground organisation, the pharmacists of the State have also downed their shutters from today.
According to information received by the press, the underground organisation had given a deadline for meeting its monetary demand to the pharmaceutical companies through the Medical and Sales Representatives Association of Manipur (MSRAM) and Centre for Professional Representatives� Union (CRU) some months back.
But as the pharmaceutical companies are in no possible to cough up the amount demanded, the medical representatives have no option but to packed up their wares since May 31.Subsequently, over the same monetary demand of the said underground organisation, the pharmacists in the State have also closed down their shutters from today.
On the other hand, after remaining closed on May 28 in connection with the monetary demand of an underground organisation, the shops at Paona International Market more popularly known as Moreh market here downed their shutters today again.
