Imphal, Aug 01: Clearance of salary and pensions for Government employees upto the month of July, 2006 including arrears and retirement benefits has been okayed by the Government.

The State Government has issued an order in this connection in suppression of all previous ordered regarding restriction/ban imposed on encashment of cheques/bill etc.

Other categories of payments which would be allowed include ration money, medical advances and reimbursements, ex-gratia and relief, GPF, honorarium for ICDS staff, bills pertaining to Raj Bhawan, Assembly Secretariat, High Court and MPSC, Grant in-aid bills, scholarships/stipend, wages for casual/contract employees, etc.

The order made it clear that the salaries/remunerations of persons appointed on casual/contract basis should not be paid without obtaining U.O .No.of Finance Department.
