The Threatened Indigenous Peoples' Society has appealed to all voluntary organisations and civil societies of all the communities of Manipur to attend a meeting convened at Manipur Press Club on March 25 at 11 am to discuss the formation of a Fact Finding team to probe the allegations of mass rape of 21 women at Tipaimukh area on January 21.
In a statement, TIPS said that the decision to hold the meeting for the formation of a Fact Finding team was taken during a meeting held at its office today at 4 pm.
The meeting was attended by representatives of 13 different organisations including, NIPCO, Mapi Council, AMUCO, CLK, IPSA, HERICOUN, TIPS, MAFYF, Macha Leima, WACAK, Chingtam Apunba Chaokhat Thourang Nupi Lup and FREINDS.
Appealing to all concerned to attend the meeting, the statement said that the Fact Finding team will consists of organisations of every community.
