Patsoi hails meritorious students

Imphal, June 27: The Progressive Committee, Patsoi kendra today honoured the students of the Assembly Constituency who excelled in the just announced Class X and Class XII examinations (CBSE and State).

Similarly outstanding sportspersons were also honoured by the Committee.

A former recipient of the award in 2003, Nivedita Yumnam daughter of Y Debendro and Bina Devi of Soyam Leirak has been awarded the Pestalozzi Scholarship conferred by the Pestalozzi International Village, UK.

She is one among three students from India to be conferred the scholarship.

Nivedita will leave for England on September 30 this year to undergo the International Baccalaureate Diploma Course at Hasting College of arts and Technology.

Altogether 28 students who excelled in the Class XII examination and 49 students in Class X were honoured today.

Three young students still in their middle level school and primary school were also similarly honoured.
