Chandel, November 18 2013: The prize distribution ceremony of the 3rd Changtung Lohe Piiteh, a scholastic Competition organized by Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) was held at the Mini Indoor Stadium of Chandel district headquarters today.

The ceremony was attended by Hl Lovingson, Special Contractor; Hb Thanison Anal, Principal of District Institute of Educational Training (DIET) and HB Ruwnghnem, Assistant Professor of Economics, United College as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.

Sponsors of the annual scholastic competition Wangshol Kanral Anal, Social Worker and Principal of United College Lambung Chandel and Kl Warson ALT Career Focus Consultant were present amidst distinguished guest, parents, teachers and students of various schools.

Successful students who were rewarded on the occasion included Lh Everhring d/o Lh Peter, a student of St Peter's H/S Monsang Pantha; Dy Benigam s/o Dy Mojahring of Hnahringkhu, a student of Oriental Academy, Riverlane and Larni E Seltun d/o St Luckson of Panchai, a student of Lifeway Christian Academy, Panchai, who secured first, second and third in the Class X category.

Tongsin Changhman d/o Tongsin Thurhring of Thangbung Mino, a student of Lifeway Christian Academy, Panchai was rewarded for qualifying in the third category of Class VIII .

Speaking as Chief Guest of the function, Hl Lovingson emphasised on the role of the parents in guiding their children to opt for right career.

He also encouraged the students to have a good foundation and advised them to work hard and refrain from using unfair means in writing examinations. Principal of DIET Hb Thanison Anal and Assistant Professor of Economics Hb Ruwnghnem Anal, in their speeches, also encouraged the students to work hard with determination to achieve their goals.

Sponsor of the scholastic competition Social Worker Wangshol Kanral Anal, Principal of United College BD Thumdal and ALT Career Focus consultant Kl Warson Anal were also among those who spoke during the function.

Later, Kl Sunny Anal, Education Secretary of ANBA administered the act of blessing with words of prayer before giving away the prizes to the winners.
