Imphal Book Fair closes at Hapta Kangjeibung

Imphal, January 06 2010: The 10-day 18th Imphal Book Fair concluded at Hapta Kangjeibung today. Art and Culture Commissioner P Bharat and renown writer B Jayentakumar Sharma were the chief guest and president of the closing function.

Jireh Book Point, Governor Road and Kamakhya Book Agency got the prize of best State and outside book stalls respectively.

Ahingna Yeksilliba Mang of Kshetri Rajen won best production award.

In the spot painting competition conducted during the fair, L Jackson Sharma of Maria Montessori School, Borish Heisnam of Heritage Convent and O Chingkheinganba of Keishampat won first, second and third prizes respectively in the Class IIIV category.

In the Class VI VIII category, Oinam Brikesh of Regular English High School, Boni Yumnam of Don Bosco High School and Thoihenbi Sukham of Catholic School, Canchipur got first, second and third prizes respectively.
