AMJWU urges PULF groups to identify signatory to their statements

Imphal, December 26 2009: A general body meeting of the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union held yesterday urged different groups of PULF to provide names of the persons who will be signed in the press statements dispatch to the media houses with the next five day and resolved to publish only those groups who provided the names.

The general body meeting of the AMJWU held yesterday at Manipur Press Club discussed thread barely on the inconveniences cause by the media houses owing to the internal misunderstanding existing among the different groups of PULF.

It was the second time in which AMJWU discussed on the matter in the recent time.

The first meeting was held on December 22 last.

The meeting resolved to urge the different groups of the PULF to submit names and designation of the person who will be responsible for the issue of the statement to the AMWJU and not to publish those groups which do not submit the name of the person to be signatory.

For convenience of the media house, the meeting further resolved to urge the groups to submit the names within five days and publish statement of those groups who provided the name, a statement of the general secretary of the AMWJU issued yesterday.
