Imphal, November 14 2008: A SECURITY co-ordination meeting of the superintendents of police and deputy commissioners of the states neighbouring to Mizoram held today in Aizawl has formed a joint security forum in connection with the ensuring elections to the Mizoram Assembly, said an official report received here in Imphal.

The elections to the 40-member legislative Assembly of Mizoram is due to held on November 29 .

The meeting was convened by Mazoram's chief electoral officer (CEO) for taking up security measures in border areas in connection with the elections under the initiative of the Election Commission of India, (ECI).

It was attended by the SPs and DCs of districts of Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Tripura bordering with Mizoram, the source said.

DC and SP Churac-handpur district of Manipur attended the meeting.
