Imphal, April 03 2009: The three bombs found in three different places in Imphal Muncipality area including Babupara were planted by the Special Demo Team (SDT) of the 5th Lanjaba Unit of KCP (MC) in connection with the visit of General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, Rahul Gandhi, Lanheiba Meitei, Secretary, Military Affairs, KCP (MC) informed today.

In a press release made available to the press here, Lanheiba Meitei stated that the top brass of the state police and central forces should know better how powerful the bombs were.

Planting of the bombs is not an act of cowardice and there are a lot of differences in the objective of the serial blasts that occurred in different parts of India in which many innocent people were killed and maimed, Lanheiba stated.

He further stated that there is not the slightest benefit of the party in the operation that has been launched by the KCP (MC) against the Congress led SPF government.

The party is only taking the leading role in the timely efforts of the masses to teach the government a good lesson.

Stating that the party has no power to carry out any action without the help of the people and without knowing people's sentiments, Lanheiba Meitei appealed to the people not to take offence when violent incidents take place in course of the war of nerves with the government.

The power wielded by Chief Minister O Ibobi can not be compared with the power of the people, Lanheiba Meitei pointed out adding that if he is a true leader who is concerned about the people's interest, he should lay more importance to the power of the people, and he should try to bring a compromise with the people in order to restore peace and act accordingly.

The party will raise no objection to that, he said.

When the people of Kangleipak face painful sufferings, the leaders of Congress party remain indifferent saying "don't know, don't see, don't hear." But when they need people's help, they come and deceive the people by saying things about potecting territorial integrity and such.

The people must not believe such pretence, Lanheiba stated.

He further observed that it's time to garland the necks of the political leaders from outside with string of bombs instead of presenting them valuable traditional and cultural gifts.

If the killing of a promising MCS officer, Dr Th Kishan and the issue of Irom Chanu Sharmila had happened in a part of the Hindiland of India, the political leaders would have boldly and vocally carried out their duties, the KCP (MC)'s press release stated.

Lanheiba Meitei reiterated his warning to all concerned to stay away from the election matters related with Congress candidates.

He also warned the Congress workers and members that the state forces can never protect them permanently and the bomb experts can not always detect where the bombs had been planted.

It becomes known only when they explode, there is no gurantee that bombs will not explode in future, he warned.
