Imphal, February 10 2026: Manipur Library Association (MALA) has congratulated its president Professor Ch Ibohal Singh on being elected as the vice president of the Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres (IASLIC).

In a press release issued on February 4, MALA said that as Professor and head of Department of Library and Information Science, Manipur University, he has been instrumental in shaping the library and information science landscape in Manipur.

Additionally, his involvement with MALA and his contributions to the field have earned him recognition and respect from his peers.

Notably, IASLIC, with head office in Kolkata was founded in 1955, is a premiere professional organization in India that aims to promote library sciences, documentation and information management.
