Imphal, August 09 2010: Troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry of 9 Sector under Hqs IGAR (S) apprehended one PULF (Azad) cadre at Mayang Imphal at around 1.10 am today.

The apprehendee has ben identified as Cheshan Jahid Khan alias Nanao (21) s/o Chesham Haisamudin of Irong Makha Leikai.

In another incident, troops of 29 Assam Rifles arrested one overground worker and two new recruits of UNLF while checking a Tata Sumo (MN-01W-5599) at Sita track junction yesterday.

On interrogation, the woman disclosed that she is working as a project officer of recruitment for the group.

The OG worker has been identified as Khuleibam Ongbi Usha (32), w/o Khuleibam Md Abash and the new recruits are Chabungbam Khellen Singh (25) s/o late Ch Saamu Singh and Md Yaima alias Mojibur (22) s/o late Noor Rahaman of Porum Pangantabi, PO Paangei, Imphal East.

She was taking the fresh recruits to Myanmar to join the group.

One mobile handset, one driving license, two voter identity cards and a cash of Rs 3725 were recovered from the apprehendees.

Usha and Khellen alongwith recoveries have been handed over to Imphal West police station and Md Yaima has been handed over to his parents through Tegnoupal police station, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .

In yet another incident, troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry apprehended one recruiter of KCP (MC) at Salam village.

He has been identified as Kokello Singh (47) s/o Kulla of Hourang Kaire Makha Lekai.

On interrogation, he revealed that he works in the recruitment wing of KCP(MC) and admitted to have recruited cadres for the outfit.

He has been handed over to Patsoi police station, added the AR press release.

Bishnupur district police commandos arrested two KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) cadres in an operation at Oinam Bazar today.

The cadres have been identified as Sanasam Nabakishore Singh alias Ito (38) s/o late Babu of Irengbam Maning Makha Leikai and Md Atajuddin alias Alta alias Manoj (28) s/o Md Abdul Hakim of Kwakta Tera Khongsangbi Ward No 2.Two mobile handsets have been recovered from their possession.

In another incident, Bishnupur district police commandos arrested one KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman group) at Ningthoukhong bridge, near LDA complex on August 5.The cadre has been identified as Khwairakpam Dhramendra Singh alias Twentyfor (38) s/o late Birbabu of Ningthoukhong Ward No 13 .

Further on the same day, another KCP cadre was arrested from Bishnupur Bazar.

The activist has been identified as Ngangbam Herojit Singh (35) s/o Nabakumar of Kangla Siphai.

One Maruti car (MN-1K/0215), blue in colour and one mobile handset were seized from his him, said a release of Bishnupur SP.
