Imphal, April 07 2009: Activists of the KCP (MC) Lanheiba group have destroyed a block level Congress office at Old Chekon under Porompat police by exploding a powerful bomb around 8.10 pm today.

However, no one was injured in the blast.

The underground group KCP (MC) Lanheiba while owning the attack to the Congress office with bomb stated that it was performed by 5th Unit, SDT (Special Demo Team) of the group to show that the group is trying its best effort day and night to teach a lesson to the Congress party.

The Wangkhei Block Congress office located at Old Chekon near the Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School half kilometer on the west of the Porompat police station was blown up with the bomb suspected to be IED devised with remote control.

The kutch structure walled with bamboo mat and having two rooms have been totally damaged by the impact of the blast and the GI-sheets roofing the structure have been perforated by the splinters.

Police at the spot believed that the bomb has been triggered by the attackers after allowing stay away nearby people before triggering as none of the people suffered casualty.

Imphal east SP, Th Radheshyam himself arrived at the spot and investigated into the incident.

Police later rounded up around 15 people, residents of the nearby area for taking statements with regard the blast incident.

Meanwhile, a statement signed by Lanheiba Meetei, secretary military affairs, Military Council, KCP dispatch immediately after the blast took place tonight owned the attack at the Congress block office.

It was performed by 5th Lanjaba Unit, SDT, the statement revealed stating that it was a part of decision of the group to teach a lesson to the party.

They will able to plant even at Chief Minister's bungalow and Raj Bhavan where guarded heavily by the security, it stated cautioning the people to stay away from the said places.

There is no chance of missing the target once a man or a group of men had decided to defeat their rivals.

So, Congress remaining challenged, they will carry on their activities attacking the party, the statement reiterated the party stand once again.

It further alleged that the Congress government despite the group's demand for stopping and checking the excessive meted out by the security forces continue the same unrestraint way in the state.

Leaders of the ruling government failed to take into account the urged of the group and continue killing people by giving makeup allegations.

The attitudes show that the ruling groups do not take care of the life of the civilians.

KCP (MC) took these politicians are the blood suckers of the people, it added.

The party also expressed shock to the killing of one of its leader Sergeant Major Mairenmbam Kiran Meitei who was nabbed from the rented house of the commander-in-chief of the United Komrem Revolutionary Army at Tuibong on the night of April 5 and 6.The party offered revolutionary salute to the deceased.

It is sure to die some revolutionaries during the course of freedom struggle but security forces killing revolutionary beyond the global law.

When such things carry out for long time how can people of this state remain silent, the statement asked.

The group has also started people supplying rations and water and selling eatables and other essential items to the security personnel and they will be dealt severely by the group, the statement said asking all concern to stop doing such works.
