Hmar talks tomorrow

It is confirmed today that the formal talks between the Mizoram Government and the Hmar Peoples Convention-Democratic (HPC-D) will be held in Aizawl on Thursday (November 11) .
The HPC-D will be led by its commander-in-chief Lalropui Hmar while the Mizoram government will be headed by State Home secretary Lalmalsawma.
Others who will represent the Mizoram government include DIG (Headquarters) Saizela, Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl district C.Thanchhuma, C.Laldinliana, SP, CID (SB)C.Laldinliana and Hriatpuia Under Secretary (Home) Hriatpuia.
The talks will be held at State Guest House, Aizawl.
Earlier, the Mizoram government constituted a committee to conduct the talks with the HPC-D under the chairmanship of the State Home secretary.
The HPC-D is a Hmar militant outfit, operating mainly in neighboring Mizoram and Manipur demanding a separate Hmar Autonomous District Council comprising Hmar-inhabited areas in the north eastern part of Mizoram.
