DESAM takes Ukhrul students on peace tour

Imphal, November 10 2008: ABOUT 140 students of Model English School, Sanakeithel in Ukhrul district were taken on a study tour carrying the message of peace by the Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) today.

The students' tour was flagged off by the president of DESAM, S Ashirjit Luwang at 8 a.m.at the Khuman Lampak Bus Terminus.

This is the first time DESAM has organised such a study tour of students from a hill district of Manipur.

The students saw Keibul Lamjao National Park, Sendra Tourist spot among others.
