DEO Senapati holds crucial meeting with political parties, accelerates Special Summary Revision 2026

Senapati, February 10 2026:
In a continuous effort to ensure a robust and error-free electoral process, District Election Officer (DEO) and Deputy Commissioner of Senapati, Mamoni Doley, chaired a high-level meeting with representatives of various political parties today at the Video Conference Hall, DC Office.
During the meeting, the DEO presented a comprehensive timeline for the Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2026, with January 1, 2026, set as the qualifying date.
Emphasising inclusive voter enrollment, she urged political parties to actively assist in ensuring that no eligible voter - particularly those who turned 18 on or before the qualifying date - is left out of the updated electoral roll.
To uphold transparency, party representatives were informed that lists of claims and objections will be accessible on the CEO Manipur website.
Additionally, the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will provide weekly updates to all political parties.
The DEO further appealed to political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) immediately to assist in the field-level verification process.
Under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, the DEO announced an intensive enrollment drive.
This will feature: Special camps at local colleges to capture young voters and Booth-level awareness campaigns to educate the public on the importance of accurate electoral roll.
Following the meeting, a specialized training session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituency was held today at the DC Conference Hall, Senapati.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Pf Lophro, Electoral Registration Officer, 49-Tadubi (ST) AC .
The session focused on the roles, responsibilities and procedures to be followed by BLOs to ensure accurate and error-free data entry of electoral rolls.
The training was attended by PP Ronald (ADM Senapati), James Panii (AERO/SDO 47-Karong (ST) AC), and Plim Reikhdhamai (AERO/SDO 49-Tadubi (ST) AC), who provided hands-on guidance ,to the BLOs regarding their field responsibilities.
