Many mourn demise of P Jamini Devi

Imphal, October 08 2025: The Manipur University Teachers' Association (MUTA) has expressed profound sorrow and condolence over the untimely demise of P Jamini Devi, retired Assistant Professor, Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension (ACEE), Manipur University.

P Jamini Devi breathed her last on October 7, 2025 .

Late P Jamini Devi was a sincere and dedicated teacher who contributed significantly to the cause of Adult Continuing Education and Extension.

"She will be remembered for her commitment, kindness, and service to the academic community", said MUTA in a release.

MUTA also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

As a mark of respect, members of MUTA also observed a minute silence in honour of the departed soul.

Moreover, a condolence meeting was convened today at the Department of ACEE, Manipur University to mourn the sad demise of Late P Jamini Devi.

During the meeting, students, staff and faculty of the Department of ACEE offered floral tributes to a photograph of Late P Jamini Devi.

The gathering also shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
