Imphal, January 06 2010: Thoubal district police commandos arrested one KYKL cadre from Sekmaijin area on January 4 .

He has been identified as Uritkhinbam Manglem Singh (32) s/o U Ibohal of Sekmaijin Khunou.

Four live bullets of AK series rifle were recovered from his possession, said a press release of Thoubal SP.

Imphal East district police commandos nabbed three PULF cadres from Sedra area on January 4 .

The arrested activists have been identified as Wahengbam Inao alias Khomei Meitei (28) s/o W Ibotombi of Kongba Uchekon, presently residing at Moirang Sendra Road, Salam alias Shamo Devi (45) w/o S Bhagat of Moirang Thana Leikai and Oinam ongbi Premila (39) w/o Chaoba of Moirang Sendra Road.

One 9 mm pistol loaded with three live bullets, 10 blank letterheads of PULF (Omar Qazi) and four seals of PULF were seized from their possession, said a press release of Imphal East Additional SP (L&O) issued on behalf of SP.

Troops of 17 Assam Rifles arrested one NSCN (IM) cadre during a search operation conducted at the general area of Upper Leishan of Ukhrul district yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Wungrei Chan (42) s/o late Horcha of the same locality.

A press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) said that one country made air pistol, four .38 ammunition, one AK-47 bullet, one M-16 bullet, one Chinese hand grenade, three unknown bullets, IED making materials with 500 gram of explosive powder, two barrels with chamber, eight long barrels, 10 pistol barrels, two chambers one 303 magazine, one country made pistol, three wooden butt, weapon making tools, stamp steel letters were recovered from him.

In another incident, the press release added, troops of 31 Assam Rifles nabbed one PULF (Umar Farooq) cadre yesterday.

He has been identified as s/s Sgt Abdul Salem (25) s/o Abdul Haque of Sora, Ward No 1 Kakching.

The arrested cadre of PULF has been handed over to Imphal West police station.
