Imphal, April 04 2010:
The Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills has announced today to support the 72-hour bandh in Manipur hill districts called by Joint Action Committee (JAC) for 2006/2009 Autonomous District Council DPC Faced Candidates Parents and Guardians, Manipur from the midnight of April 6 .
The JAC demands from the State Government to declare the results of the DPC.
The Kuki Inpi sternly denounced the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) Government led by O Ibobi Singh for non-declaration of DPC results for Primary Teacher under Autonomous District Council in hill districts held on October 11 and 29, 2009 .
The Kuki Inpi, Sardar Hills said that the State Government conducted the DPC for primary teachers in six hill districts in 2006.The DPC was with proper channel according to Government norms.
The successful candidates in the DPC were duly appointed by the Government and appointment orders were issued to them by the concerned Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and were sent to their respective posting/schools.
They were also utilized in the last Parliamentary and Assembly elections apart from their normal duties as teachers, the Kuki Inpi said.
"But surprisingly, after long period in service the Government itself by sometimes in February 2009 had dismissed 835 teachers from their service despite, some teachers have their teacher's identity cards' validity upto the year 2012 issued by the concerned CEOs", claimed the Kuki body.
It said that again in 2009 another DPC for recruitment of primary teachers was conducted by the Government in order to fill up 3453 vacant posts in the hill districts under Autonomous District Councils.
Although, the interview was held on October 11 and 29, 2009 the Government could not expedite materializing the same till date.
"The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills is deeply concerned with the delay for declaration of DPC 2009 results as the new academic session of 2010 began some two-three months back.
The Kuki body lamented that the negligence of the SPF Government on the tribal populated areas obviously comes into picture that even 3453 teachers' posts are presently lying vacant in the hill districts, but the Government is behaving as a mute spectator.
The long delayed in declaration of DPC results is a true symbol of marginalization on tribal people in the field of education," accused the Kuki Inpi, Sardar Hills.
