Phungyar MLA alleges SPF govt politicalising in govt function

Imphal, February 20, 2010: MLA Wungnaoshang Keishing today said that he will not take part in celebration of golden jubilee of the Phungyar block of Ukhrul district scheduled on February 27 which Chief Minister, O Ibobi will attend.

Authority of the Phungyar block is planning to celebrate the golden jubilee function of the block with state Chief Minister, O Ibobi as chief guest.

Speaking to reporters here today, the MLA said that even though the block is within his Assembly constituency, he was not informed of celebration function till date.

So, he has decided not to take part in the celebration.

The Ukhrul DC and SDO has not given any information with regard to the celebration function till date, Wungnaoshang revealed adding that but without any prior information, he got an invitation card yesterday which he came to know about the function.

He charged that the O Ibobi led SPF government is doing political even in organising government function.

With no prior information given to him, it showed that even a member of state highest decision making body is de-respect by the government machineries.
