The general assembly of the underground Peoples' United Liberation Front (PULF) held on May 15 somewhere at Churachandpur district has appointed Adam Laskar as the Chairman of the PULF, a statement informed.
The statement issued by the publicity secretary of PULF stated that the post of the outfit's chairman, which has been remaining vacant for the last four months, the post of vice-chairman, seven posts of secretary a post of monitoring and a project coordinator of the party have been filled by the general assembly.
The general assembly has also approved the revival of the outfit's finance department which had been made non-operational for quite some time, the statement stated adding that a slight change is made in the finance policy.
The PULF will not serve demand to families below Rs 20, 000 per month but those with above Rs 20, 000 income per month will be asked to contribute once in a year while also stating that no security personnel with uniform will be served any demand.
It however added that the illegal traders, those elected representatives who violate the peoples' rights will be exempted from the purview of the ban.
It stated that transport societies in and outside the state will be taxed once in a year as has been done before.
The statement stated that the signature of the new finance secretary, K Victer and new project coordinator Sur will be in used.
The statement also conveys the outfit's chairman appeal to all concerned to inform the nearest contact in case the outfit's policies are violated for personal gain and that can tarnish the image of the party.
