Imphal, August 03 2010: The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has called upon all the people of Manipur to unite as one and join the war of liberation by unmasking the Government of India.

A statement issued by the outfit's Publicity Secretary T Leisemba asserted that despite all the overt and covert means and brutal measures being employed by the Government of India to malign and suppress the liberation movement of Manipur, the Government of India is still unable to defeat the liberation movement for it is a legitimate and justified movement of the people of Manipur.

Alleging that Assam Rifles set up the Kuki Boys Commando in their effort to tackle NSCN, the RPF questioned the motive behind deliberately calling the commando unit Kuki Boys Commando.

India has many commando forces like MARCO, Black Cat Commando (NSG), Grey Hound Commando, Force One etc but none of them are named after a community.

While setting up a local commando unit in Manipur to fight Naga insurgents, Kuki people were roped in and the same commando unit was named after the Kuki community.

This was akin to planting a communal time bomb and this ultimately exploded in the form of Kuki-Naga clash while the Assam Rifles looked the other way.

Manipur Police too resorted to similar tactics by setting up Pangal Commandos or Lilong Commandos, though not official.

This also resulted in a communal between Meiteis and Meitei Pangals.

Creating divisions among different communities by inciting one group against another through covert means is the most effective tool used by the Government to contain the revolutionary movement.

However, this fatal measure could not defeat the liberation movement of Manipur though it caused some impedance.

Now the Kuki Boys Commando and Lilong Commandos have disappeared but the liberation movement of Manipur is going on.

This time, after abandoning the defeated 'commando strategy', the Government of India has been pitching the Nagas and the Meiteis against each other using Muivah as a torch to inflame both the communities.

The Government of India and its agents have also been directly influencing or interfering in some insurgent groups.

Taking side with a splinter group or entrapping such groups with material benefits or forming a new group using their own stooges, the Government of India has been ordering them to do all kinds of activities dreaded and hated by the people, all in the name of revolutionary groups so as to keep away the people from the liberation movement.

The many factions of KCP have been making accusations and counteraccusations against each other saying that one faction is associated with Assam Rifles, another faction working in cahoot with IRB or commandos and yet another faction working as RAW agents.

In the meantime, there have been incessant reports of placing 'extortion bombs', bullets, firing, hurling bombs, kidnapping, abduction, assault, killing etc which are aimed at separating people from not only the KCP but also all revolutionary groups.

In the name of the KCP, bomb was hurled in the heart of Khwairamband by hiring IRB at Rs 5000.Against IRB were used for extortion in the name of KCP.

Even as Sanjit was shot dead and blamed as a UG cadre to cover up the guilt of commandos in the Sanjit-Rabina issue, the bereaved family was given Rs five lakhs secretly.

On the other hand, security forces have been supporting one Kuki UG group, then another in addition to facilitating splits within these groups.

All these activities of security forces have been causing serious disturbances to the people besides breeding serious law and order problems.

Ultimately under immense pressure from the public, the security forces signed Suspension of Operation pact with the Kuki UG groups to cover up their covert operation and project that the Kuki UG who have been actually dancing to the tune of security forces have been reined in.

But the Government of India remains blind to all the criminal and anti-social activities of those UG cadres under SoO pact even though the Government of India is aware of all their activities.

The Chief Minister of Manipur has already admitted on the floor of the State Assembly about violation of SoO ground rules by KNO and UPF cadres in the form of extortion, abduction for ransom, fraudulent withdrawal of money from UBI Churachandpur, Moreh issue, abduction of a native of Tripura, threatening civilians etc.

Even those groups under SoO pact have started blaming each other for violation of SoO ground rules.

Not only this, they have been killing each other with guns not permitted by the ground rules, observed the RPF.
