Plea to stay transfer of lecturers

Imphal, February 01 2010: The Naga Students' Union, Chandel in a letter to the Education Minister, Government of Manipur has appealed for the stay of transfer order of 2 lecturers of the United College, Lambung, considering the shortage of lecturers in the college.

The letter mentioned that the original strength of United College, Lambung was 68 but in actuality, only 43 lecturers which included 6 part timers, were present due to frequent transfer of lecturers.

Even as the students are facing a lot of problems due to the shortage of lecturers, the letter mentioned, two lecturers, namely, Dr..NYaiphaba of Chemistry Deptt.

and Ch.

Mema Devi of Botany Deptt.

have been transferred to other colleges by an order passed on January 25 .

Taking all these facts into consideration, the letter signed by the president and Gen Secy of Naga Students' Union, Chandel, requested the Minister to stay the transfer of the two lecturers in the best interest of the students.
