Chairman of the Manipur Pollution Control Board (MPCB), MLA, E Dwijamani today said that environmental condition should not be disturbed while taking up development projects.
Speaking as chief guest at the one-day training programme of master trainers of the Eco Club of schools, E Dwijamani said youths to be aware of importance of environment and while taking up developmental schemes and projects, outmost care should be taken up not to disturb the environmental condition.
Every body must be concern about the changing environmental condition.
Environment should be conserved for the future generation, he added.
During the training programme, master trainers were given a chance to express their opinions.
MLA Dwijamani, president of the function K Jugindro and member of the MPCB, MLA Th Lokeshwor, who was the guest of honour, spoke as resource persons.
Mention may be made that Eco Club were founded in schools for imparting environmental education under the National Green Corpus programme of the Union ministry of environment and forest.
Each districts of the state has more than 150 Eco Club.
