Imphal, November 29:
Reacting strongly to the report that some hill MLAs have gone to Delhi to pitch in for Chief Minister O Ibobi, a senior rebel MLA today said that all non-Congress MLA have no right to poke their nose into the internal affairs of the party.
On the other hand, vice president of the MPCC (I), T Mangibabu went to Delhi and has started discussing the latest political development with the dissident MLAs.
Speaking to The Sangai Express the senior rebel MLA said that the undue interference by some non-Congress MLAs at the behest of some Ministers exposes their lack of political maturity.
If the development takes a nasty turn then the non-Congress MLAs who have allowed themselves to be used as pawns should be held responsible for any unwanted regime in the State, warned the dissident MLA.
Making it clear that the present stand off is an internal affair of the Congress, the dissident MLA said that the non-Congress MLAs should realise that the voice of dissent was raised following the total collapse in administration as well as the deteriorating law and order situation.
This fact should be registered in the minds of the MLAs who are trying to interfere, he asserted.
As part of the oust Ibobi campaign, the dissident MLAs held another meeting at Manipur Bhawan today.
All those present reiterated their earlier stand not to disband the camp at Delhi until a final solution is reached.
The AICC leadership had earlier more than hinted that a final decision on the leadership issue will be taken by November 30, said the dissident MLA and added that if this does not materialise by tomorrow (November 30) then the dissident MLAs will exert the needed pressure.
Meanwhile, Th Debendra is trying to meet Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister separately.
Debendra may meet the two leaders later today evening.
