Adding another twist to the ongoing imbroglio over the conduct of the Manipur Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination, 2005 by MPSC, four successful candidates who had gone to the Secretariat to collect their appointment letters found their names substituted by four other candidates belonging to ST category in the selection list.
Chongtham Nomila/Nomibala, Keisham Jadumani Singh, Laishram Bobby Singh and Md Suleiman Doulat Khan who are respectively in serial 90, 91, 92 and 93 of the results of the examination declared by Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) on July 6 this year found out much to their surprise that their names have not been submitted when they went to the Secretariat to collect their appointment letters today.
Talking to media-persons at Manipur Press Club, they said after clearing the written examination and the viva voice/personality test, they had even undergone the required medical test and police verification for joining their respective posts.
Their names have been substituted by four others.
They informed that no intimation had been given to them in this regard.
Since they have cleared the Manipur Combined Civil Service Competitive Examination, they said, they have not made any preparation for other competitive examinations conducted by UPSC and other recruiting boards.
In all 394 candidates were selected by the MPSC after the written test conducted conducted for recruitment of a total of 128 posts including 25 MCS ,32 MPS, 31 MFS and 40 SDC from August 18 to October 4 last year last.
After the viva voce/personality of the selected candidates which was held from May 28 to July 6 this year, a total 128 candidates were selected finally.
