Imphal, March 06: During the course of investigation it was established that there were two non-KCP members among the seven followers of Leibakmacha, said the statement and identified the two as Md Fungi and Md Jiauddin.

The two disclosed all the hidden agenda of Leibakmacha, said the statement and added that it was established that Laba was arrested by the security forces after information was provided by Leibakmacha and his men to the Assam Rifles.

The future course of action that Leibakmacha had planned also came out in the open.

After ensuring the arrest of Laba as well as the killing of the two cadres, Leibakmacha and his men had plotted to kill other KCP leaders, claimed the statement.

Leibakmacha used Md Funi and Md Jiauddin as his other men to interact with the AR officers and pass on vital information, said the statement further.

On top of this Leibakmacha arranged for the stay of Khelen alias Gopen near the party's Chqs for 15 days, said the statement and added that Khelen deserted the KYKL and joined hands with the security forces.

Khelen was allowed to witness all the activities of not only the KCP but also other underground outfits.

Khelen was also directly involved the killing of the two KCP cadres, it claimed and added that during interrogation Leibakmacha admitted to all the findings unearthed after realising that he was cornered from all sides.

The other followers also admitted to the findings of the investigation team, it said.

After minutely deliberating on the findings, the investigating team concluded that what Leibakmacha and his men had done was totally against the revolutionary movement and hence cannot be condoned under any ground and accordingly a report was submitted to the Central Committee of the KCP, said the statement.

The investigation team recommended that Leibakmacha and his seven henchmen deserved capital punishment for what he had done was against the revolutionary movement and after decimating the KCP, he was sure to target the other groups by collaborating with the security force, recalled the three outfits.

Apart from the investigation team, the KCP also conducted its own independent probe, said the statement and added that ultimately the Central Committee of the outfit also endorsed the capital punishment and Leibakmacha along with his henchmen were handed over to the KCP on March 5, 2007. The investigation was conducted in a fair manner without any preconceived notions with the sole objective of the betterment of KCP, asserted the statement.

Leibakmacha worked against the revolutionary movement and hailing him with such title as Baji, father, leader etc and even imposing a Black Day in his honour is nothing but anti-revolutionary, said the statement.

Those who say that Leibakmacha did nothing wrong amounts to saying that India has every right to rule over the people of Manipur, it asserted.

On June 8, 2007 one Lankhomba issued a statement praising and hailing late Leibakmacha, recalled the three outfits and added that later one Lakpa who identified himself as finance secretary started extorting money.

They claimed that they were from the KCP (MC) and even asserted that the KCP (MC) is the true KCP.

Making their stand clear, KYKL, PREPAK and UNLF in the statement said that they do recognise the KCP (MC).

The KCP led by Laba alias Senggoi Meitei is the only KCP recognised by the three outfits, it stated and recalled the statement that was issued on June 12, 2007 to this effect.

After some time, some developments took place which said that the KCP (MC) had further split into two/three groups.

They are Naoba group, Samu group and some other splinter groups.

Despite the charges traded amongst the factions of the KCP (MC), what is true is that all of them are associated with the security forces, said the statement.

While one is associated with the AR post at Yaingangpokpi, the other one is collaborating with the Army at Shillong, charged the three outfits.

Recalling further, the three outfits said that City Meitei and Kokkai Meitei were arrested in a foreign country at the fag end of 2006 and hence did not participate in the party congress.

After they were released at the end of 2007, they immediately formed their group, with City Meitei reviving the Mobile Task Force while Kokkai Meitei formed the KCP Highway Task Force and started extorting, said the statement.

The recent suspension of inter-State bus service was due to the demand served by the HTF faction of Kokkai Meitei.

Asserting that what has been said is nothing but the truth, the three outfits sought suggestions and advices of the public on what should be done with regard to the KCP.

They also wanted to know whether there was anything wrong in the efforts taken up to unify the different factions of the KCP.

'Wasn't it incumbent to do the same as revolutionary outfits'? they asked.

The three outfits faced severe difficulties in trying to unify the different factions, said the statement and elaborated it entailed heavy financial expenditure, loss of precious time and also gave them a lot of mental pressure as well as involved taking serious risks.

The unifying drive was taken up to somehow lessen the sufferings of the people as well as to bring forward the revolutionary movement, said the statement.

"The mindset of those against the unity move is nothing but to let them go away with extortion, make easy money, not make KCP strong as the share of the loot can be shared amongst lesser members, no question of discipline and so why are the others trying to interfere and unite us," asserted the three outfits.

These elements just refuse to learn and accept the truth that factionalism does nothing but impose greater suffering on the people as well as retard the revolutionary movement, said the statement and added that apart from further dividing the party, these people have no political line, no strategies, no ideology etc.
