Imphal, October 30 2008: Based on specific information, troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in general area of Takyel and apprehended one KYKL cadre today.

According to PRO Assam Rifles, on spot interrogation, the apprehendee identified as Longjam Anand Singh alias Anand (32) s/o Longjam Bira of Takyel is revealed as the finance secretary of the outfit.

The arrested cadre has been handed over to Nambol Police Station.In another incident, troops of 34 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in general area of Thoubal Bazar and apprehended one cadre of KCP (MC) Lanheiba group yesterday.

The arrested individual has been identified as SS Pvt Huidrom Nanao Singh (20) s/o H Brojen Singh of Haokha Maning Leikai.

He was handed over to Thoubal Police Station yesterday itself.
