Imphal, December 28 2013 : A 12-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man, who were reported missing, were found murdered at two separate places today.

The 12-year-old boy was found murdered at Oinam Sawombung Dam Awang Leikai under Wangoi Police Station at around 1 pm today.

The deceased has been identified as Oinam Sharif alias Muba, s/o Goroba of Oinam Sawombung Mathak Leikai.

He was reading in Class-II at Little Master English Higher Secondary School, Samurou.

According to family members, the deceased boy went missing from home yesterday.

He had one mobile phone with him, but it was switched off.

The locals of Oinam Sawombung searched him using loud speakers till late night yesterday.

But he remained traceless until his lifeless body was found by the locals near bushes at the river bank, not very far from his home today afternoon.

Sharif was found dead with his pant pulled down and shirt torn.

There was a cut wound of about 10 inches deep on his belly with intestines protruded.

A used dendrite adhesive (500 mg) was also found near the body.

A team of forensic experts and police conducted thorough investigation at the spot.

Later, the dead body was retrieved by the police and deposited at RIMS Mortuary for post-mortem.

A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has also been formed in connection with the murder of Sharif.

The JAC has resolved that the dead body would not be claimed unless the culprits are arrested and appropriate compensation is given to the family members.

Some villagers of Oinam Sawomgbung said that the boy might have been killed by some drug addicts for want of his (Sharif) mobile phone.

Earlier, some miscreants looted a mobile phone from a person in the area few days back.

On the other hand, a 45-year-old man identified as Irom Ingocha, s/o Shyamkishore of Leirongthel Makha Leikai was found murdered at Maikol hilltop of Ningel Hills under Yairipok Police Station today morning.

There were several bruises and wounds on his body.

He was probably hit by a heavy stick on his head.

Family members told media persons that the deceased Ingocha went to Nongdam area to procure timber for construction of his house on December 25, but he did not return home.

A missing report was then filed at Yairipok Police on the following.

He might have been killed for a sum of about Rs.2000 which he had taken for purchasing the timber, they added.

The police recovered the dead body and deposited it at JNIMS Mortuary for post-mortem.
