Imphal, September 16 2025: Five student representatives of Government Polytechnic, Imphal, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan Imphal today and submitted a memorandum highlighting various challenges facing the institute.

During the meeting, the students drew the attention of the Governor to critical matters relating to shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff, academic infrastructure, and administrative needs.

The Governor heard the students and assured necessary actions, said the Raj Bhavan in a statement.

Separately, Md Raees Ahamed Tampak, general secretary of the United Meitei Pangal Committee (UMPC) and five others also called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan.

The Governor assured the team to look into their concerns and issues raised.
