The 7th LPG bottling Plant of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (Assam Oil Division) located at Sekmai has commenced commercial production on trial basis yesterday with the first truck load of filled LPG cylinders flagged off by the Plant Manager NBK Singh and despatched to M/s Jemon Gas Service, informed an IOCL (AOD) statement.
Conveying that full scale production and regular despatches to various markets of the State are expected to commence shortly, the statement further detailed that the 10,000 metric tonne (per annum) plant located about 20 kilometres from the State capital would be able to cater to demands of consumers when fully operational.
The statement also recalled of IOC striving to fulfil expectation of the public since 1902 the year when the first batch of kerosine oil was lifted from the Digboi Refinery.
