The winners were presented with certificates and cash awards while consolation prizes were handed over to the participants.
During the technical session, Doren Heisnam and Loktak Christian Model High School teacher H Bishorjit spoke as resource persons on the topics "Prevention, treatment, rehabilitation of drug abuse and its effects" and "Role of teachers for drug free students in school".
Speaking on the occasion, Dr A Jayenta Singh stressed on the importance of having a value system in this day and age.
Without it, even well-educated students fall victim to the scourge of drug abuse.
In the absence of value systems, more education translates into an increase in corruption, he remarked.
In a society which considers wealth as power, the rate of drug abuse has also increased sharply, he said.
Lastly, he advised parents to be alert and urged youths to avoid succumbing to peer, pressure and abusing drugs.
