Imphal, November 29: In connection with World AIDS Day, 2007, 5 Assam Rifle in association with New Incarnation and Child Welfare Ashram would be organising a free medical check up cum HIV/AIDS awareness camp at Town Hall, Jiribam on December 1.Our Jiribam correspondent reports that the camp would target the people of the areas in and around Jiribam sub-division, villages of Tamenglong district and Jirighat, Cachar, Assam with the aim of spreading awareness among the people regarding prevention of AIDS and conduct free medical checkup up.

Meanwhile, Jiribam District Demand Committee has started it next step of agitation by picketing the Govt offices.

The picketing will go on for a week.

Consequently, the administration has also beefed up security arrangement in all the Govt offices of the sub-division.
