Churachandpur, February 20, 2010: The 62nd Zomi National Day, organized by Zomi Youth Association(ZYA-Htr), was celebrated at PT Sports Complex, New Lamka today.

Works Minister K Ranjit, IFDC & YAS Minister N Biren and Pu Phungzathang Tonsing as chief guest, functional president and father of the ceremony today.

The chief guest in his speech asserted that Guite road construction work order has been already handover to BRO.

Many developmental works are being taken y SPF Govt.Functional president in his speech assured the gatherers/Zomiters that PT Sports Complex construction will be soon taken.The Father of the ceremony his speech urges the Zomis that let the celebration be a mark of love thy neighbour, tolerance towards each other.He says that Zomi idenemerging and the state Government is trying labour best for power shortage solution in the District and the state and donated a sum of Rs.50,000/ to the organizer.

Cultural dances were perform with a weal meaning ful depicting the origin and the identity.at the celebration.
