Imphal, February 01 2010: Imphal West Police commandos in a joint operation with a column of Assam Rifles on Sunday apprehended three activists of PREPAK from Phayeng Khunou Pathar Bazar, a statement of the Senior SP, Imphal west district, L Kailun informed today.

The three activists were identified as Khuraijam Bobby @ RK @ Ito (30) son of late Angoucha (army no 2666), Nongmaithem Angoucha @ Karnajit (23) son of N Mohindro and Ahongshangbam Golapi (28) son of late Kuber.

They all hailed from Tera Sapam Leirak.

Four live rounds of 9 mm ammunition were seized from the nabbed activists with two mobile hand sets.

They were assigned to extort money and also to serve demand letters at Oil Pumps and Restaurants.

they had collected Rs 15,000 from oil pumps, restaurant and handed over to Samsou of Haobam Marak Irom Leikai for party fund.

The statement citing the spot verification report said that Bobby joined the outfit in 2008 under one Irei of PREPAK and obtained basic military training at Moreh.

Commandos had arrester him earlier too but he rejoined under one Sana @ Loya of PREPAK (GS), finance section.
